World Book Day - We had a wonderful day dressing up as our favourite book characters and sharing books, stories and looking for dinosaurs.

Enginuity school Trip

We had a wonderful trip to Enginuity. We designed and tested buggy's and found out about gravity and friction. We went on to explore the museum and enjoyed seeing hoe electricity and forces are generated.

Space School

What an exciting day Class 2 had at Space School. They learned lots of interesting facts about the galaxy, black holes, astronauts and space stations. We thought about what we might take to Space with us, sang space songs,  and designed rockets, made astronaut helmets and oxygen tanks and they even donned space suits and ventured into space and some children were almost sucked into a black hole. They thoroughly enjoyed the role play and their day in the Church Aston International Space Centre.

We enjoyed colouring in Earth and making a moving rocket that could fly around it.

Swimming - Water Safety

This term Class 2 have enjoyed their weekly swimming lessons. We were very lucky to have a visit from Stanley the seal. He came into school to give us some water safety advise and raise awareness of water safety. The children loved meeting Stanley and enjoyed their safety workbooks.

Science - Windsocks

In Science we made windsocks and took them outside to test them and see if we could see the direction of the wind.

Art - Space Art - Shades and Tints, Adding Textures and creating backgrounds.

Over the last few weeks for Art the children have enjoyed exploring a variety of Art techniques. They have created shades and tints, added to paint to create texture and created texture using objects all to make a great Space background.

R.E - Different Faiths

We have been looking at a variety of different faiths and we looked at objects and matched them to the correct faith. We discussed the objects and their purpose.

Computing

We used the Bee-Bots to programme to get us to different locations on a map.
