Children painted tree trunks using ink and then painted the colourful leaves by finger painting.

We went on a hunt around the playground to find objects and group them by colour. We then found out the names of the colours in French.
We have been finding out about capacity and volume. We have looked at a variety of containers and identified their capacity. We tried to accurately read the measuring scale and solved some word problems relating to capacity.
We thought about things we are looking forward to do in the future and what our aspirations were for when we grow up.
Whilst learning about time we looked at things we could do in 1 minute.
We have been identifying a variety of 3D shapes. Children built a cube and identified faces, vertices and edges.
This Term our topic is about Space, all children at home and school have been working hard in their writing and have created some lovely pictures and fabulous space rockets.
We looked at towns, cities and villages and also compared the village we live in to a village in Africa. Children worked in groups to build buildings and places they may see in a village.
Thank you for all the donations that were sent into school for Harvest. Children enjoyed a little walk over to St Andrew's Church to deliver them.
All items collected will be delivered to the Newport Food Bank.
We have had a busy week writing prayers and poems that give thanks.
In Class 2 children have been finding out about the artist Pablo Picasso. They have been painting their self portraits and started to try some exciting experiments by cutting up parts of their paintings to reassemble in a new and exciting way.
